Gary Kalk is the Founder and Chairman of the Board for Dealer-FX Group, Inc. and has more than 30 years’ experience in the automotive industry. He‘s held senior roles in retail marketing and operations, giving him an awareness of all aspects of a dealership’s workings, particularly fixed operations. His strong understanding of retail marketing systems & processes, as well as his early recognition of the importance of the customer experience, have positioned him as a leader in helping dealers drive customer retention & profitability. At the OEM level, Gary’s helped develop customer experience and retention programs for leading OEMs including Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA Group), Audi, Mazda, Lexus, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Acura, Suzuki, General Motors, Mitsubishi, and Subaru.

Steve Young

Steve Young is the President and Co-Founder of HGGC.

Steve serves as Chairman of the Board of four HGGC portfolio companies: IDERA, Integrity, AutoAlert and Innovative. Prior to sale, he also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the firm’s Fund II investment in Serena Software (acquired by Micro Focus International plc) and the Fund I exited investments in hybris Software (acquired by SAP SE) and Sunquest Information Systems (acquired by Roper Technologies).

Prior to the inception of HGGC, Steve‘s professional football career spanned more than fifteen years in the NFL, primarily with the San Francisco 49ers, where he received numerous accolades, including Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XXIX, Sports Illustrated and Sporting News’ Player of the Year from 1992 - 1994 and the NFL’s Most Valuable Player for 1992 and 1994. In 2005, Steve was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the first left-handed quarterback to be so honored. When he retired, Steve was the highest-rated quarterback in NFL history and has the distinction of being the only signal caller in league annals to win four consecutive NFL passing titles.

Steve founded and chairs the Forever Young Foundation which is actively involved in children‘s charities worldwide and is currently the broadcast host as well as the former International Spokesperson for the Children’s Miracle Network, which has raised over one billion dollars world-wide to benefit children’s hospitals.

Rich Lawson is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of HGGC

Rich Lawson is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of HGGC. Based in Palo Alto, California, HGGC is a leading private equity firm with over $4.3 billion in cumulative capital commitments and oversees portfolio companies that employ more than 64,000 employees globally.

Over its history, HGGC has completed platform investments, add-on acquisitions, recapitalizations and liquidity events with an aggregate transaction value of $23 billion. Mr. Lawson has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its inception and directs HGGC’s firm governance, investment decisions and investor relations.

Mr. Lawson currently serves or has served as a director or chairman on the boards of HGGC’s portfolio companies, including BIG, Monotype, AMI, Mi9, RPX, HelpSystems, IDERA, Denodo, Nutraceutical, Aventri, Davies Group, Integrity, FPX, Selligent, Dealer-FX, Dynata, Serena Software, AutoAlert, MyWebGrocer, hybris Software, Innovative Interfaces and Sunquest Information Systems.

Mr. Lawson also serves as a director, chairman emeritus or trustee of several philanthropic and cultural institutions including the Capital Impact Foundation, San Francisco Zoo, Wasatch Adaptive Sports and the Forever Young Foundation, the organization that is a primary benefactor of HGGC‘s carried interest proceeds used to support extensive philanthropic work in children’s causes around the world.

Prior to leading HGGC, Mr. Lawson established predecessor private equity funds Huntsman Gay Capital Partners in 2007 with industrialist Jon M. Huntsman and Robert C. Gay, as well as Sorenson Capital in 2002 with medical products pioneer James LeVoy Sorenson. Mr. Lawson also worked at Morgan Stanley in its mergers and acquisitions department and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of enterprise software company Found, Inc.

Farouk Hussein

Farouk Hussein is a Principal of HGGC

Farouk is active in the firm’s Fund III investments in AMI, Denodo and IDERA, the Fund II investments in Aventri, FPX, Selligent, Dealer-FX and AutoAlert, as well as the Fund I investment in MyWebGrocer. He previously was involved with the firm’s exited investment in hybris.

Prior to joining HGGC, Farouk was an Associate at JMI Equity, where he was responsible for analyzing and executing transactions in the enterprise software realm, with a focus on software-as-a-service ( SaaS ) and vertical market software. Previously, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst in the technology group of Union Square Advisors.

Lindsay specializes in building and scaling businesses. He has built a number of businesses from the ground up, been CEO of medium sized and large businesses and managed a multi-billion dollar global business.

Lindsay works with Private Equity, Venture Capital, and large Institutional Investors across the U.S., Europe and Canada. He advises and mentors CEO’s in strategic companies in consumer, social and business-to-business categories and has done a number of due diligence processes for the purposes of strategic acquisition or M&A roll-up in each of the areas. He has an investment portfolio of companies, directly drives a small set of incubations and sits on the board where he works directly with management teams to drive the overall business and technology strategy.

As an investor and CEO, Lindsay has extensive experience building out the business models, technology platforms and operating models strategically positioning for large scale growth.

Bill Lucchini

Bill brings over twenty-five years of business strategy, management, and operational experience to Dealer-FX. Prior to Dealer-FX, Bill led the cloud security business unit at Sophos, a global provider of enterprise-grade security solutions. Before Sophos, Bill was the Chief Operating Officer at OnForce where he was responsible for day-to-day customer operations, product development, and marketing.

He started his career at Intuit and held a variety of leadership roles in several of Intuit’s businesses, including QuickBooks Online, the Mid-Market Division, the Intuit Partner Platform, and QuickBase.

In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Bill plays a critical role in helping Dealer-FX evolve and scale as our customer base grows.
